Holds a BSc in Biology from the Universidade dos Açores (2010) and a MSc in Biotechnology and Innovation from the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2015). At the moment is taking a PhD degree in Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology – UCP. Main research areas are functional foods and ingredients, probiotics, bioactive conjugated fatty acids and fatty acid analysis. Currently is a member of Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF) research team as PhD student.
