Maria Inês Figueiredo Nunes Ramos

Post-doctoral researcher at CBQF - Catholic University of Portugal, with a PhD in Food Science and Technology with the theme “Integrated approach on field solar drying, pilot convective drying and microstructure changes”; and a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Porto.

Participation in 2 international and 2 national projects (CYTED XI-13, ISEKI_Food, Intropro and Pamaf 2029) and member of 2 Organizing Committees of international conferences. Co-supervision of 3 master thesis in the food area and teaching assistant at the Catholic University for more than 10 years. 2 years’ work in extension services for the food industry and 3 years in the European project ISEKI_Food.

Main research areas include modelling and simulation, transport phenomena, food drying, nutritional and sensory properties, microstructure, with particular motivation by sustainable drying with renewable energies and environmental issues in overall.
