Patrícia Batista, Master in Experimental Pathology at Faculty of Medicine at the University of Coimbra and completed a PhD degree in Biomedicine at University of Beira Interior (Faculty of Health Sciences). She is certified as a researcher/coordinator for animal experimental practices. Currently, she is a researcher at Centro de Biotecnologia e Química Fina (CBQF) – Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She is the author of several scientific papers, collaborator in two patents and scientific reviewer in two journals. Additionally, she has participated in scientific co-supervising of a master and BsC students, collaborator in teaching practices (at University of Beira Interior; University of Aveiro and Universidade de Aveiro) and a member of an evaluation committee. Her major research subjects are in the area of health sciences, biomaterials, biomedical applications, biotechnology, cell cultures and in vivo assays.
