Main Research Areas:
Laboratory animals research, validation and optimization of laboratory methodologies, study of compounds that cause endocrine disruption, their mechanisms of action, and their implications on the ecosystem;
Health research, daily evaluation and organization a cohort study, database management, health demographic surveillance data in underdeveloped countries, team supervision and training. Epidemiology research in communicable and non-communicable diseases;
Chemistry and chromatography research field.

 

Current position in the institution:
Research fellow at "SMARTWINE - Smarter wine fermentations: integrating Omics-tools for development of novel mixed-starter cultures for tailor-made wine production" PTDC/AGR-TEC/3315/2014 - Faculty of Biotechnology of the Catholic University, Portugal

 

Important functions
Quantification of volatile compounds in wine samples by gas chromatography (GC-MS; GC-FID).
