Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering – Biotechnology by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (2009-2014). The thesis subject was in the area of polymers and their applications (GOVI – Belgium).

Traineeship in the U.K. in the Particle Engineering, Design and Formulation area, having contributed to the development of a new patent (Procter & Gamble – NIC, 2015). Internship in the cosmetic research area (Inovapotek, 2016).

Currently, I am in the second year of my 4-year PhD program in Biotechnology, at the Research Centre in Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry, in the area of Food Science and Engineering, and I am part of the research team at this facility. My research is focused mainly on dairy products and hydrocolloids, more specifically on product development, formulation and design, as well as in the analysis of the molecular interactions present in such food matrixes. The novel products will contribute to reduction of food waste.
