The "Sunscreen from the cod bones", developed by researchers at the ESB, was selected for the "IChemE Awards 2015 ', a prestigious international award organized by the British Institute of Chemical Engineers.

The project was chosen together with eight others, among the numerous applications from all over the world, in the "Sustainable Development" category. The award results will be known on November 5 at a ceremony organized by IChem in Birmingham (UK).

The study was conducted by ESB along with the University of Aveiro and Inovapotek. Dr. Clara Piccirillo, researcher of the project, explains the work in the video below.
