Ana Lopes, BSc in Biochemistry (2014) and MSc in Analytical, Clinical and Forensic Toxicology (2016). In the scope of her master dissertation, she developed a multidisciplinary scientific research work entitled "Small Chiral Molecules modulators od P-gp: Synthesis and studies of enantioselectivity", which allowed her to acquire skills in the organic synthesis field and biological evaluation. Additionally, during her graduation, she developed a curricular stage in which she acquired some knowledge in microbiology techniques. She is currently a Lab Assistant and a PhD student in the Fermentation Platform of the Alchemy Project, at the Center for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (UCP). Her PhD project focus on the study of the impact of stress factors on the physiology and structure of Saccharomyces cerevisiae during fed-batch fermentation.
