I have a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and a BSc. in Materials Engineering from the University of Antioquia (Colombia). My experience is related with polymers and polymer composite materials extracted from both natural and fossil sources with focus in different applications such as aerospace, building, transportation, furniture and other engineering topics. I worked with different materials such as woods, natural fibers, cellulose, synthetic fibers, polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins, acrylics and mineral fillers from the nano to the microscale with major relevance in the understanding of structure-properties. I own 5+ years of industrial experience with emphasis in design of experiments (DoE), validations of methods, application of the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) in the design of products, leadership of technical teams and methodologies for project management in the petrochemical industry as well as the composite materials industry.
