Catarina Amorim holds a degree in Biochemistry (FCUP, 2005) and a PhD in Biotechnology (ESB-UCP, 2013). She is researcher at CBQF/ESB-UCP, exploring granular sludge technologies for wastewater treatment processes and the linkage of the removal processes performance with the sludge microbiome structure and composition. Currently she is principal investigator of a national project and team member of national and international projects, all focused on wastewater treatment and valorisation. She has been involved in students’ supervision, including PhD and MSc students. She is an invited assistant professor of Environmental Microbiology at ESB-UCP.
