I have a BSc. In Biochemistry (2016), at Faculdade de Ciência das Universidade do Porto and a MSc. in Applied Microbiology (2019) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. My master’s thesis was foccused on the evaluation of the prebiotic potential of a food supplement and its impact on the human gut microbiota. In 2019, I became a fellow researcher in a project focused on the microbial production of CLA isomers, in small ruminant’s milk. During this time, I have collaborated in several projects regarding byproducts valorization and in studying the impact of several food matrices on human gut microbiota. I am currently working as a Lab Assistant at Alchemy Project, testing in vitro models, to test bioactive properties of sugar cane byproducts. Therefore, I have a great interest in human gut microbiota, prebiotics, functional foods and in byproducts valorization.
