Paulo Nova has a degree in Nutritional Sciences and a Master's in Biotechnology from the Higher School of Biotechnology of the Catholic University of Portugal. He currently works as an Assistant Researcher at the Higher School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese University in the Valormar Project: Integral Enhancement of Marine Resources. Its area of activity focuses on the enhancement of marine resources (algae, microalgae, halophytes and fish), through the chemical characterization of the nutritional and bioactive potential of these raw marine resources and their incorporation into new food and nutraceutical products.
