Raquel Beatriz Ribeiro de Mesquita


Raquel B. R. Mesquita is a post-doctoral invited assistant professor at Universidade Católica - Escola Superior de Biotecnologia (ESB-UCP), Porto, Portugal. She got her degree in Microbiology from in ESB-UCP (1999), her MsC degree in Biotechnology from De Monfort University Leicester, UK (2000) and her PhD degree in Biotechnology (specialization in Chemistry) from ESB-UCP (2007). She co-authored more than 40 papers in international journals and was involved in the supervision of 3 PhD theses. She was awarded a Fellowship Award from Endeavour, by the Australian government (2015); and a FIA Award for younger researcher, by the Japanese Association for Flow Injection Analysis (2016). Her research interests are focused on applied analytical chemistry to microfluidic analysis in a green chemistry approach, namely development of analytical devices, as efficient in the moment alternatives to perform chemical/biochemical analysis in environmental and biological dynamic systems. Her teaching activity involves analytical chemistry and automation disciplines.
