The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) published on its official page the results for the Attribution of Statute for Associated Laboratory.
The Center for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF) sees the renewal of the Statute for Associated Laboratory (LA), with the classification of Excellent, by the Foundation for Science and Technology, reinforcing its position as a reference institution in the areas of Natural Sciences and the Environment.
LA are structural components of the National Scientific and Technological System and consist of research and development (R&D) institutions or consortia of R&D institutions that make explicit institutional commitments to pursue national scientific and technological policy objectives. Therefore, these laboratories must have a dimension of human resources and scientific infrastructure that allows them to sustainably promote scientific and technical careers for doctorates.
The evaluation of applications submitted in 2020, and now released, was conducted by a national panel coordinated by Professor Manuel Nunes da Ponte, who also counted on the collaboration of an international scientific council.
Congratulations to the entire CBQF team!
