CBQF is dedicated to establishing and nurturing partnerships with industry and various organizations at national and international levels. This commitment serves as a key avenue to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology to society, ultimately creating value from the generated knowledge. CBQF engages in international teaching and research networks while participating in national Competitiveness Hubs and Clusters. Additionally, CBQF is a member or part of the executive committee of several international organizations in the field of Biotechnology, including but not limited to the European Crop Diversification Cluster, SAFE Consortium, NORMAN, FOOD FOR LIFE Platform, IBERO-AVICOLA Network, ENGHIR, European Sensory Network, ISEKI Food Association, IUFoST, EFFOST, FOODforce Chamber of Cooperation & Development Portugal China, European Federation of Biotechnology, and BiFTec-FOOD4S.
In terms of associations, CBQF holds membership in BLC3 – Campus de Tecnologia e Inovação, SMARTWASTE - Strategic Group on Food Loss, Associação Nacional de Coberturas Verdes, Associação Portuguesa Bioeconomia e Economia Circular, ANIL, Sociedade Portuguesa de Biotecnologia, CoopVal, and Centro de Competência do Sobreiro. Furthermore, CBQF is a member of various competitiveness Clusters and CoLABs, such as PortugalFoods (where it serves as an Administration Board Member), the Scientific Council of Cluster da Vinha e do Vinho, Health Cluster Portugal, Pólo de Competitividade da Saúde, Forum Oceano, Associação para o Conhecimento e Economia do Mar, Associação TECMEAT – Centro de Competências do Agroalimentar para o Setor das Carnes, CECOLAB, and COLAB4FOOD, among others.
