Highlight

Training of universities in Jordan and Syria. Approach concepts on climate change and adaptation of pedagogical tools.

Abstract

The EGREEN Project aims to ensure that the universities of Jordan and Syria can deliver a high quality education that is compatible with European standards, meeting the needs of the emerging knowledge society through the reinforcement of environmental education.

In addition, EGREEN aims to introduce the concept of climate change with the objective of training professional leaders who can meet the market needs of the country, and thus develop and integrate a degree program with a laboratory component appropriate to the environment, taught by universities Jordan and Syria and aligned with the requirements of Bologna.
This project will involve teachers in the development of interactive training techniques for lectures and laboratory courses, sharing experiences with EU partner universities and will develop and implement course content for undergraduates.

The main objective of the project is to increase capacity and enable partner universities in Jordan and Syria to develop the Environmental Engineering modules for Undergraduate Programs with the state of the art of educational and educational technologies.

EGREEN will thus contribute to a sustainable outcome that will promote curriculum reform in engineering education and leave a long-term legacy for the Universities of Jordan and Syria.
